Fritzing – A Very Cool Project

I came across the Fritzing Project today while Googling some of my favorite search terms.

“Fritzing is an open-source hardware initiative to support designers, artists, researchers and hobbyists to work creatively with interactive electronics.”

Fritzing is cool. I respect the authors of this program: what they have done is not an easy programming task by any measure. Many of the same fundamental operations supported by Fritzing will also be supported by the Schema HTML 5 application I building for Encapsule Project. However, unlike Fritzing I am not targeting actual hardware. Rather, I’m leveraging the basic metaphors of circuit design to target runtime software.
